Today I read a new study in which the researchers found that women who drink alcohol (wine, beer, spirits) regularly – lose weight. How nice is that. I certainly enjoy a drink. The study was conducted over a 13 year timeframe.
WASHINGTON (AFP) – Women who drink a couple of glasses of red wine, beer or spirits a day are better at keeping the pounds off than women who do not drink at all, according to a study published Monday. Full article here
Why would this study run counter to mainstream thinking on this topic? Drink and lose weight? You must be kidding!
What’s going on from a law of attraction perspective?
Let’s speculate for a moment. Let’s look at what’s going on from a Law of Attraction perspective.
What you think (believe) and how you feel – determine the results you see in your life, in any area of your life.
For example. If you would like a drink but feel guilty or worried that drinking may add unwanted kilos, then don’t drink! If you drink in this state of mind, then it will add kilos.
But if you feel deprived because you’d like to join your partner or friends in social drinking – but you don’t drink – guess what’s likely to happen?
Exactly! You are still going to put on weight! It seems you can’t win on this, doesn’t it? You put on weight whether or not you drink! How unfair is that?
So why did the women in the study who drank regularly, not put on weight? Well, I’d speculate they weren’t concerned about putting on weight. They drank because they enjoyed having a drink. They felt good having a drink.
Your vibration determines your point of attraction
Okay. Law of Attraction 101 to the rescue. Your vibration (what you think and how you feel about it) determines the results you get: it determines your point of attraction. “Feel good” and you will get good results. “Feel bad” and you will get unwanted results.
So if you “feel good” about drinking, eating chocolate, whatever – then there won’t be any unwanted effects such a weight gain, or a hangover. If, on the other hand, you feel bad (guilty, worried, angry, etc) – then you are better to not drink, eat, etc – until you have settled down; until you have found a way to relax; until you “feel better” about your intended action.
Your feelings indicate your point of attraction
As you change what you are thinking, you change how you feel. Use your feelings as a valuable feedback tool for what you are thinking about a topic. If you aren’t feeling good about something – if you feel annoyed, worried, etc – then use this as feedback that your thinking is heading you in an “unwanted” direction. Change your thoughts in that moment – on that topic. This is an important understanding regarding how Law of Attraction works in your life.
