The holographic universe part 1

I thoroughly enjoyed this excellent (though no doubt controversial) video. It will certainly challenge many! Great images. Some of the concepts discussed:

Modern science is revealing a very different reality and world from the one we have been taught existed. The world we know of consists of what our five senses can detect. But there’s a whole lot more to reality than meets the eye!

Life is illusionary (Frederic Vestor)

An excellent, clear, graphical explanation of how our five senses work e.g. they register electrical signals in a specific part of our brain.

Everything in the universe consists of electrical signals. Everything we think we see, hear, etc is our brain interpreting electrical signals around us. We are not seeing or hearing “real” things. We are interpreting. Everything is happening inside our brain!

Setting Your Vibrational Tone

“You are vibrational beings -- more electrical than physical.”

“What I am thinking and what I am receiving are always a vibrational match.”

“Whatever you are giving you attention to is causing an emotional reaction in you and that combination is your point of attraction.”

“As you observe the content of your reality, you will begin to see that what’s in your life is the direct result of what you are thinking and feeling.”

Relationships, love and the power of focus

In the previous post I mentioned the mind as the tool of difference for us all and how this is particularly evident in the news reports about sports heroes like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal and the recent spectacular Wimbledon 2008 men’s final.

Here’s a charming video about Roger Federer and his partner Mirka Vavrinec.  Clearly these two people choose to focus on the best in their relationship. By focussing on the good parts, we/ they attract more good things!

Federer and Nadal at Wimbledon 2008

You may wonder what Wimbledon 2008 may have to do with the power of mind. A lot!

In the awesome men’s tennis final on Sunday July 6th, spectators watched two stellar athletes and tennis champions playing for arguably the most pretigious award in tennis – the Wimbledon final trophy.

The match was the longest in Wimbledon history - four hours and 48 minutes - with two delays due to rain, taking the entire match time from start to finish to six hours and forty minutes. The final result was 6-4, 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-7(8), 9-7, in favour of Rafael Nadal.

Why did Federer (five times Wimbledon champion 2003-2007) lose to Nadal?

Without detracting from Nadal’s brillance, Federer had more to lose (or prove to himself) than Nadal. His track record playing Nadal is 12-6 in favour of Nadal. That alone would have a bearing in terms of mindset going into the match.

And of course there is the intense media scrutiny of Federer’s every match as the current world No. 1 tennis player and the usual post mortems of matches long past. Roger Federer, in my opinion, is too nice, too accommodating to the media.

From a power of mind perspective, every time you give attention to something unwanted, be that answering media questions and hypotheticals, recalling failures or disappointments from the past, speculating about unwanted future events, getting angry with current performance, comparing yourself with anyone else – and coming up either ‘better than’ or ‘less than’ – what you are doing is adding to your point of attraction.

There’s no avoiding it. What you give your attention to – day in and day out – is crucial.

When the balance tips either way – towards what you want or towards what you don’t want – you will see evidence of it in your life.  However even before that time, you will get hints and clues of what is coming.

Sport is like a giant magnifying glass on how Law of Attraction and your amazing mind work with energy. Dreams come true. Often dreams start early in childhood.  Just listen to any sporting great and invariably they will mention having held ‘this dream’ for a long time. Listen to their self confidence and self belief. They will have positive expectations and will talk in positive terms (unless side-tracked by the media).

What we don’t know or see, however, is what goes on privately in their own mind. This is where the ‘real work’ goes on.  We don;t see or hear what kinds of conversations they have alone or with influential people in their lives.

All thinking (positive and negative) is adding to their point of attraction. Of course, the same is true for us all.  Being a sporting hero adds public scrutiny and pressure which needs to be managed favourably, from a vibrational stance.

Here’s a BBC music montage of the Wimbledon final in the style of The Secret (ad at beginning). Listen to the backing track! Music is a powerful tool.

Science meets metaphysics: the holographic universe

Here is an interview with Gregg Braden a scientist with a gift for making science ‘accessible’ to lay people.

Gregg has been billed as an international pioneer in bridging science and spirituality.
In this excellent video he discusses what holograms are and provides many beautiful images by way of illustration.

He talks about the intrinsic nature of the Universe -- how everything within the universe is holographic in nature -- and the implications for anyone interested in directing the amazing power of their mind.

“A hologram is a pattern that is whole and complete unto itself and, at the same time, it is part of an even greater pattern that is whole and complete unto itself -- while at the same time is part of an even greater pattern.” (ad infinitum)

And here’s the staggering part …. “the beauty of the hologram (is that) any place in the pattern of a hologram where you make one little change, that change is mirrored throughout the rest of the hologram.

For a window into the amazing power of the human mind and your own potential personal power, see the video the Holographic Universe below.
